Busy B stationery!

Busy B stationery!

Firstly, I want to say a massive thank you to Busy B for sending me a bunch of their products. I’m such a stationery lover so a parcel packed with exactly that was a complete dream for me! So I thought I’d share my excitement with you all, because these products are just too lovely not to shout about.

I’m going to start off with the pen, because I am actually in love. Not only is the pen itself gorgeous but it comes with a beautiful little case and I mean, just look at the packaging. I think I might just keep it in the box and put it on my wall, because I just don’t want to ruin it (and I will do, lmao). The pen actually matches the notebook, following the same green and gold theme, which I really like. The notebook is really simple, lined throughout, and I can’t wait to start using. It’ll be perfect for planning blog posts!

I’ve previously mentioned this diary in my February Favourites (go check it out, you know you want to), so I won’t repeat myself too much for those of you that read it. But, it’s a really useful diary. It’s designed for people with super busy lives with its double page weekly schedules, so I like to plan blog posts on one side and then put personal day to day plans on the left. It’s really handy with its pockets and lots of note pages at the back. I also like the fact that it has a little elastic pen holder, because I’m always looking for my pen.

If you keep a journal then you’re going to love these. These little sticky notes and page markers are going to be great for my bullet journal, and I love how cute the page markers are! The sticky pads are so handy too, they come in a little book with an elastic strap around it, so they’d be great on the go. I really wish I’d known about these while I was doing my A-Levels because I was always losing my page in my notebooks and I used to go through sticky pads like there was no tomorrow!

The best part is, Busy B have currently got 15% off with the code BB15 so you can go get all these goodies for 15% less! So go treat yourself. You can visit their site here, or alternatively you can find them on Amazon, just search ‘Busy B’! Thank you for reading and let me know what your favourite product is in the comments below!

Top three drugstore lip products

Top three drugstore lip products

If you’re looking for long lasting, pigmented and beautifully packaged lip products then you’re probably going to go straight to MAC or YSL, but actually there are so fantastic drugstore lip products out there that are just as good for half the price!

I’m a big lipstick lover. I haven’t always been, it has only been the last couple of years but my lipstick and lipgloss collections are growing wildly. But there are three lip products I always go back to. These are my top three, go-to drugstore lip products.

NYX Lingerie – I am a general lover of most NYX products really. I love the fact that they look and feel like really high quality high end products but are literally a fraction of the price. In my opinion NYX produce some bloody fantastic lip products, and the NYX Lingerie collection is absolutely no exception. But it’s the Exotic shade that is my absolute favourite. I have to admit, I was bit afraid of the colour as it is a bit darker than what I’d normally go for – however, it just looks amazing on. It’s super matte and super pigmented and it doesn’t seem to matter what or how much you eat or drink, the stuff just doesn’t budge. It is the perfect lipstick for a night out, because you can just guarantee it’ll still be there hours later. I also really like the packaging, just the whole appearance in general is really nice, and at just £6.50 at Boots, how can you even say no?

New Look Pure Colour – When I think of New Look, I definitely don’t think of them for their make-up. I didn’t really hold out a lot of hope when I bought a selection of their Pure Colour lipsticks but I was really pleasantly surprised. If you’re having a dry lip day, which I have most days during the winter, then these lipsticks are a God send. Packed with vitamin E, New Look’s lipsticks are super creamy and moisturising. I love the way they feel when I’ve got them on and I especially love the shade Mink. I’m typically a nude lipstick kind of girl, so this was right up my street. As if it couldn’t get any better, since I bought the lipstick last summer, New Look have totally changed the packaging and it’s now silver (they also sell rose gold ones which I’m dying to buy a bunch of!)

MUA LUXE Velvet Lip Lacquer – I have to admit that I find MUA products very hit and miss, some are amazing and others not so amazing, at all. However, their Velvet lip lacquer collection is definitely in my top three. They’re an absolute bargain at just £3. You cannot go wrong for £3. It is matte and really long lasting, not quite as long lasting as the NYX Lingerie, but it is still pretty damn good to say it only costs £3. More than anything, I really love the colour. I’ve got the shade Harmony, and in the summer this was my absolute favourite lipstick and I’m really looking forward to wearing it 24/7 in spring. The packaging definitely isn’t bad either, I quite like the gold and the font is pretty similar to the NYX Lingerie. Overall, it’s fantastic for its price.

What are your favourite drugstore lip products? Let me know in the comments. Or let me know if you’ve tried any of these! Thanks for reading, make sure you follow my blog if you liked this post. I’m planning to post a Busy B stationery haul tomorrow as they’ve sent me a bunch of products, so make sure you stay tuned for that – it’s good trust me. Until the, have a lovely Sunday evening!

Stationery Haul

Stationery Haul

I am a major stationery loving notebook obsessor and recently I bought a load of new bits and bobs and so I thought I’d share them all with you guys – plus it’d give me a chance to practise taking some good pictures. Nothing makes me feel all motivated and organised like some new stationery. So I went in on a little haul on notebooks, pens and pencils and desk tidies etc, and this is what I got!

Wilkos sell these gorgeous copper desk tidy type things – of course I couldn’t resist the copper. They have the pen holders as shown on the left, which also has a section for other stationery type things such as paper clips and post-it notes etc. They also have filing trays, as pictured on the right, and I’ve got this inside my desk draw to keep all my notebooks and papers together. They also have those folder-holder kind of things that I don’t know the name of. They’re all from Wilkos and they were all £2.99 each, not too bad at all! They go perfectly in my bedroom with my copper theme and they’re really useful! Also, the little pot of paper clips and pins is from B&M for just £1 and is really really useful.

If you’ve read my last post then you’ll know that I’m loving journals at the mo. These journals are brilliant because they’re inspirational journals – meaning they contain motivational quotes to keep you going. The “Words of Wisdom” journal was actually bought for me by my friend and I believe it’s from TK Maxx (honestly if it’s the last thing you do, go and get yourself one of these because they’re beautiful). The same goes for the “Believe in Yourself” journal, which is from Amazon for £10. This journal just has little one line quotes at the top of each page, but they’re equally as inspiring. They’re both gorgeous and really do their job of inspiring so I’d definitely recommend both!

Notebooks are probably in my top five favourite things, probably right after food to be honest. I am a nightmare for buying notebooks that I don’t even need, but I just can’t say no to a notebook. These notebooks were no exception, I mean just look at them. The “Notes” and “More Notes” patterned A5 notebooks are from Tesco believe it or not and they came as a pack of two for just £2.99. They’re really useful for making check-lists and to-do lists as they’re small – I tend to use them to go grocery shopping because they’re the right size for carrying around. However, the A4 “Dream Big” notebook on the right is equally as useful, I tend to use this to plan blog posts and honestly the front cover is just one of the best front covers I’ve ever seen on a notebook. You cannot deny that it looks fab. It’s from Sainsbury’s (which by the way, are amazing for stationery, I always go there for notebooks) and cost just £2.99!

Lastly, I got myself this A4 weekly planner from B&M – which was a bloody bargain at just £1! Again, if you read my last post then you’all see this planner featured, I could rant and rave all day about how useful this thing is and how it’s helped me organise my life. And an added bonus – it looks lovely! You can’t go wrong with one of these for just £1. Then we’ve got the Zoella pencils. I got these actually for Christmas as part of the bag and coffee mug gift set, and I love them. I am quite partial to doodling so I like to keep a few pencils to hand and I mean, these look really cute so..why not? You can get these from Boots and Superdrug, although I’I not sure how much they cost to buy individually – as I said I got them in the set.

These are all the bits and bobs that I bought and I’m loving them all, especially as they were all super affordable! If you’re a fellow stationery lover then let me know which item you’re loving most in the comments below! Thank you so much for reading, make sure you follow my blog to see my Drugstore Make-Up Haul post coming on Friday!

P.S. Let me know what you think of these pics I’ve taken as I’m really trying to work on taking good pics!
