To Be Read – March

To Be Read – March

I haven’t really posted about books yet on my blog – apart from my 2017 reading list which you can find here– and considering I read quite a lot I thought I ought to post more book-related things. So, I thought I’d do a little TBR in March post (how is it March already though?!) At the moment I’m reading about one book a week, so I’ve got four books on my list to read in March. So here’s my list along with a short description of each.

We Were Liars – E. Lockhart

A beautiful and distinguished family. A private island. A brilliant, damaged girl; a passionate, political boy. A group of four friends—the Liars—whose friendship turns destructive. A revolution. An accident. A secret. Lies upon lies. True love. The truth.

Beautiful Disaster – Jamie McGuire

Good girl, Abby believes she has enough distance from the darkness of her past, but when she arrives at college with her best friend. Travis Maddox is exactly what Abby needs – and wants – to avoid. Intrigued by Abby’s resistance to his appeal, Travis tricks her into his daily life with a simple bet.

Holding Up the Universe – Jennifer Niven

Everyone thinks they know Libby Strout, the girl once dubbed “America’s Fattest Teen.” But no one’s taken the time to look past her weight to get to know who she really is. Everyone thinks they know Jack Masselin, too. What no one knows is that Jack has a newly acquired secret: he can’t recognise faces. When he meets Libby, the two find that the more time they spend together, the less alone they feel. Because sometimes when you meet someone, it changes the world, theirs and yours.

The Unexpected Everything- Morgan Matson

The politician’s daughter who’s pretty much raised herself thinks everything can be planned or spun, or both. Especially your future. But when things change she realises that if everything’s planned out, you can never find the unexpected. And where’s the fun in that?

Let me know if you’ve read any of these and what you thought, and let me know if at the end of March you’d like to see a review of the four. Also, if you click the titles of the books you can go check them out over on Goodreads. I’ve recently created a new Goodreads account which you can find here – follow me if you like, or just have a nose at what I’ve read/am reading etc. I haven’t quite got everything updated on there yet, but I’m working on it so keep an eye out.

Feel free to let me know in the comments what you’re planning to read in March. I’m always on the look out for more books to read so let me know what you want to read, or what you’ve already read in February! Thanks for reading and make sure you follow my blog for a post on Monday that’s going to be a huge haul of Busy B stationery products as they’ve really kindly sent me some things to review for them!

52 Books for 2017!

52 Books for 2017!

Last year I attempted to read 52 books in a year, which at the time I thought would be easy as I can get through a good book in a day with no trouble. However, it seems I was a bit ambitious to assume I could read so many books alongside doing my last year of A-Levels and doing a semester at Uni. Now I’ve left Uni though, and am officially on a gap year (or should I say gap nine months), I am ready to nail a list of 52 books in 2017! So, for any fellow book worms out there who might be doing the same or just for anyone looking for a book to read, this is what I’ve got so far on my list. Of course my list will grow as the year goes on, so I’ll keep updating this post when I add new books to my list. I will literally just give you my list, but every book on this list (say list one more time lmao) is a book that someone has either recommended to me or I’ve looked into and have decided I really need to read. Also, as I go through the year I plan to post ‘Weekly Reads’ posts about what I’ve read that week from my list and I’ll rate and review the books for you, so make sure you follow my blog to hear more about these books!
